Job Demands Analysis

A job demands analysis (JDA) is not a study of an individual worker or of production rates; but it is a study of a specific job as it exists. CITAHEALTH Job Demand Analysis reports identify job specific physical activity requirements and environmental condition exposure through direct observation and video analysis of actual work procedures. The Job Demand Analysis report profiles the physical activities through the Canadian Government National Classification Index descriptor index with Bona Fide Occupational Requirements (BFOR's) written from the JDA. This type of study can prevent future injuries and disabilities by providing background information for use in establishing guidelines which help employers to ensure that a worker's capabilities are appropriate for his/her job.

To ensure that all aspects related to demands of a job are evaluated, CITAHEALTH's certified occupational health staff follows the below noted process:

Interview with a company official: An interview will be conducted with the company representative most qualified to provide feedback regarding the day-to-day and season-to-season requirements of a particular position.

Jobsite Assessment and Video Analysis: With the use of industrial scales, and other required tools and technology, CITAHEALTH's occupational health staff will collect all critical details of a specific job including weights of required lifts, required frequencies/repetitions, pushing/pulling, etc.

Detailed Report: Within 5 working days, a comprehensive report (complete with graphs and worksite photos when applicable) is produced and delivered to the corporate contact.
