Gold Appraisal

The Gold Appraisal is the ideal protocol for those who wish to take responsibility for their cardiac health and fitness with a comprehensive service, but do not require an extensive medical exam.

Fitness test results from the Gold appraisal are comprehensive and standardized so appropriate exercise can be prescribed, goals set, and improvement measured after health promotion initiatives are undertaken.

Cardiac Check: Cardiologist-interpreted ECG Stress Test
A 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) is used to monitor the detailed condition of the participant's heart at rest and throughout an exercise test. The results are then directed to our internist/cardiologist for interpretation and recommendations.

This interpretation by an internist/cardiologist ensures that you have received a thorough cardiac review with your appraisal. Internist/Cardiologist comments will be included with your report should you choose to share your results with your family physician.

In addition to your Aerobic Stress ECG, the following elements will be appraised and reported:

  • LDL Cholesterol

  • Triglycerides
  • Glucose
  • Detailed Health Risk Analysis

  • Flexibility (related to low back pain risk)
  • Lower body power
  • Aerobic/Cardiorespiratory Fitness (VO2 Max)
  • Pulmonary/Lung Function (spirometry)
  • Body Composition/Anthropometric Measures
  • Resting and Exercise Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Monitoring
